Framing Update

The three prints designed for Cancer Gets LOST
have now been framed.
I initially posted about the prints here.

My framer is amazing and went above and beyond
with all three prints.  I am thrilled with results.

"Jacob Loves You" by Jared Wong

"I Remember" by Jason Shorr #4/23

"It Worked" by Jason Shorr #4/23

There are limited quantities of each print still available!

BamPOP Print: Juliet

I adore the work of JJ Harrison.
I own quite a few of his LOST in Comics panels
as well as his LOST in Star Wars Trilogy

He also did three LOST watercolor prints
that were sold in his Etsy store.
Each is an 8.5" x 11" giclee print
 on cotton velvet rag paper.

I previously posted the
Faraday and Sawyer prints here.

Juliet is the final print.

Sawyer *Graphic Novel* Poster

I bought this poster on eBay.
I don't know who the artist is not signed or numbered.
It shipped from China and took awhile to arrive.
I'd forgotten that I even bought it.
The poster measures 24" x 18".

But it makes me long for LOST to
continue on as perhaps a graphic novel.
I'm not sure that I'll ever frame the poster.
But I'll peak in my flat file regularly...

"The Revolution Was Televised" by Alan Sepinwall

The latest edition to my LOST library
actually only contains one chapter on LOST, but
it is a fantastic chapter!

"The Revolution Was Televised:
The Cops, Crooks, Slingers and Slayers Who Changed TV Drama Forever"
 by Alan Sepinwall
covers the groundbreaking dramas of the last 15 years.

Chapter 6 is dedicated to LOST

I read Chapter 6 first...
(hey this is ME we're talking about!)
but the others chapters cover shows
that I am/was also a loyal viewer of:
(I know that is grammatically incorrect,
but don't care. I write like I talk.)

The Sopranos
The Wire*
The Shield
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Battlestar Gallactica
Friday Night Lights
Mad Men
Breaking Bad

*I haven't watched these shows yet, but have The Wire DVDs
ready to go over the holidays.

The interviews with the creators and showrunners
of each drama are insightful, funny and full of terrific
little-known tidbits.
I highly recommend this book to everyone
who loves TV as much as I do.
It is available on Amazon.
Hurry, buy it now.

"Smoke Monster" Sandwich Keeper

I love getting freebies and samples
in the mail.  I try to snag as many as possible.
A few months ago, I came across an offer on
Facebook for a custom sandwich keeper.
The instructions said to upload your child's
drawing. Um, no thanks.

But I DID upload young John Locke's
drawing from 1961 of the Smoke Monster
attacking a man from the Season 4
episode "Cabin Fever".

A short time later, my custom sandwich keeper
was delivered. AWESOME!

I use it several times a week since I rarely have
time to leave the office for lunch out.
And how do I transport my
sandwich keeper you ask?

silly question.

Dharma Security Console Design Plan

The Dharma security console concept sketch/plan
is one of the LOST Season 5
production artwork and design
pieces I purchased.

The security center can be seen in several
Season 5 episodes, but is most prominently featured
in "Lafleur".

The Freighter by JJ Harrison

The Kahana is the subject of
JJ Harrison's print "The Freighter".
It is the first print in his "LOST in Horror" series
and measures 24" x 36".

My print is #6/42 and is displayed in my office.

Rittenhouse LOST Archives - 3 Case Incentive Card

Rittenhouse LOST Archives trading card set
included a very rare 3 case dealer incentive card.

It is a "relic" card, containing a piece of Banyan tree bark.
Banyan trees were often shown on LOST.

Banyan is a type of tropical fig with a distinct growth
pattern of aerial roots. The trees often begin as a
seedling that has sprouted on another tree.  As the
tree grows, the roots grow over the trunk of the host.
The roots, growing thick and woody and fusing where they
meet, become a cage-like structure surrounding the host,
which eventually dies. When the dead host rots away,
a hollow space remains.....

.....a place to hide from polar bears and Smoke Monsters
and  where Charlie was hung by Ethan ( among other scenes).

My card is #96/250.

LOST Crew Jacket

This is the third LOST crew jacket in my collection.
The first two can be seen here.

Actually, the latest addition is more of a pullover
than a jacket - an all-weather golfing garment made by PING.
The sleeves can be removed at the elbow via zippers
for warm-weather play.

The pullover was a gift to cast and crew
 from the producers of LOST.
The upper right breast is embroidered
with "LOST" on a tropical island.

Maybe I should wear for a game at Hurley's golf course
while in Hawaii for the LOST 10-year reunion?

"Believe in Duct Tape" by Jared Wong

The first item that I bid on in the
Cancer Gets LOST auction
was ""Believe in Duct Tape"
by Jared Wong.
The concept is genius!
It is based on Miles' quote in the LOST finale:
"I don't believe in a lot of things, but I do believe in duct tape".
(screencap used with the permission of Cancer Gets LOST.)

The original piece is made entirely out of duct tape on
an 18" x 24" canvas and is signed on the frame.
"Believe in Duct Tape"
is currently being framed, so I am using
Cancer Gets LOST's photos from the auction listing.
I'll update this post with photo of framed
art when it is returned to me.

Rittenhouse LOST Seasons 1-5 3 Case Incentive Card

I am very particular as to how my LOST trading cards
are stored.  I prefer to use clear acrylic screw-down
cases for both the autograph and costume cards
in my collection, as well as the
ACEO sketch cards I have acquired.
  They provide greater protection
and security than the flimsier top loader.

There is one exception in my collection.
I have one graded trading card that is encased
in a snap-top shallow acrylic *box*
It is the only graded card in my collection,
though the collection in its entirety is mint/near mint.

Rittenhouse LOST Seasons 1-5 Trading Card Set
included a very rare "Dealer 3-case Incentive Card".
Harold Perrineau signed the card and
Beckett Grading Services graded the card 9.5.

LOST Crew Shirt - Season 6

I recently added the third Season 6
Crew Tshirt to my collection.
The first two can be seen here and here.

The latest addition has a completely different
graphic on the back than any of the other
LOST Crew Shirts I have  acquired.

LOST Crew Shirt - Oceanic Stunt Team

I really love the behind-the-scenes stuff
included on the LOST DVDs, especially
when the crew is featured.
I am fascinated in knowing how the show was put together.

I have acquired various crew shirts from each
of LOST's six seasons, as well
as a few department crew shirts.

But I never had a shirt specific to
the stunt crew.....until now!

"No Man Is An Island" by Julian Callos

One of the amazing original works of art
in the LOST Underground Art Show
at Gallery 1988 in December 2009
was titled "No Man Is An Island"
by Julian Callos.
The ink, acrylic and gouache on watercolor paper
sold for $480.00
You can see all of the original works of art here:

My friend Alice/comixguru tweeted a couple of
months ago that "No Man Is An Island"
was available for purchase as a print!

I purchased the smaller size.
The 12" x 12" print is hanging in my LOST room.

Kate Sketch Card - Nathan Ohlendorf

I acquired as many of
Nathan Ohlendorf's LOST
sketch cards in the
"Poor Little _____"
as I could find several years ago:

I only just realized that my new
purchase is the first female of the group.

"Poor Little Kate"

She's been on the island without tweezers for too long.....

Silhouettes From Popular Culture by Olly Moss

Olly Moss has become one of my favorite artists.
I was first introduced to his work during
DamonCarltonAndAPolarBear aka
The LOST Underground Art Project.

"Locke's Secret" was the second print
released in the 16-print series.
I also have the Locke's Secret Tshirt.

"LOST" was the final print released in
The LOST Underground Art Project - Series II

I'm so proud to own both prints and they
are treasured pieces in my collection.
They show up often in photos of other
collection items that I've posted on the blog.

I've since purchased 8 additional
prints (non-LOST) by Olly Moss and
was thrilled to hear that his
Gallery 1988 Show
"Silhouettes From Popular Culture"
would be compiled into a book.

It arrived this week.

I actually purchased two copies of the book because.....

John Locke and Ben Linus
I plan on framing these pages from
one of  the books and displaying in my
LOST room.

Robert Kirkman. author of the "Walking Dead"
graphic novels purchased the original
silhouettes from the show.

But I am content with my copies -
they are THAT AWESOME!

Photos from the gallery showing of all of the
original framed pieces can be seen here:

Additional photos and video can be seen here:

The previous two posts contain the LOST

There are two additional cards

than the illustration that appeared in the book.)
